To ensure security, the Rar-Hanet security control solution has been installed at six entry and exit points. These locations include the intersection of Hoang Van Thu and Hoang Dieu streets; the Bac Son area behind the Memorial; the intersection of Dien Bien Phu and Doc Lap streets; 8 Hung Vuong street; Ong Ich Khiem and Le Hong Phong streets; and 17 Ngoc Ha street.
This system was operational from 1 a.m. to 12 p.m. on 30/8 (rehearsal) and 2/9 (official event). Guests used their chip-based citizen identification cards (CCCDs) for entry and exit procedures at Ba Dinh Square on both days.
The scanning system allows for identity verification in less than a second. When a guest scans their CCCD, their information and image are displayed on a tablet screen. The data is also securely stored for reporting and management purposes. This solution was developed by the RAR Center under the Department of Social Order Administrative Management (C06), Ministry of Public Security, and Hanet Technology Joint Stock Company (a member of G-Group Technology Corporation).
This solution was previously used during the April 30 parade, where it facilitated access control for over 10,000 guests. Its implementation at the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day celebration is expected to reduce congestion at entry and exit points, increase check-in accuracy, and enhance security for attendees.

In addition to this technology, authorities deployed tens of thousands of officers and soldiers, established multiple security perimeters, managed traffic flow, and prepared medical and rescue plans. The Ministry of Health stationed ambulances and medical personnel at crowded areas to handle emergencies. To allow the public to follow the event, Hanoi set up 285 LED screens in public places, government offices, schools, and stadiums.
