In the Central region, the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway opened to traffic at 11h50, approximately 20 minutes behind schedule. The 88 km route connects Nghia Giang commune (Quang Ngai) to the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway, extending to the interchange with the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon expressway.
This is mot of the important sections of the North-South Eastern Expressway axis, shortening travel time through the South Central region.

The project features ba mountain tunnels, 77 bridges, 586 culverts, and 81 underpasses for local residents. Binh De tunnel, at 3,2 km, is currently the longest tunnel on the North-South expressway. Despite being operational, the route is not yet collecting tolls, and some facilities, such as rest stops, are still being completed.
In the Mekong Delta region, the Hau Giang - Ca Mau expressway resumed operations from 11h30 after a temporary suspension of almost 1,5 months to complete safety features such as drainage ditches, embankment slopes, and road shoulders. The route, over 73 km long, connects to the Can Tho - Hau Giang section, contributing to the completion of the continuous expressway extending to the southernmost tip of the country.
Bringing the route into operation significantly reduces congestion on national highway 1, which is frequently overloaded. It also shortens travel time between Can Tho, Hau Giang, and Ca Mau, stimulating logistics and regional economic development.

Meanwhile, in the Southeast region, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway section from Long Thanh interchange to national highway 56, over 38 km long, also temporarily opened to traffic from 17h on the same day after over ba years of construction. This aims to reduce congestion on national highway 51, especially as vehicle traffic to Ba Ria - Vung Tau increases during holiday periods.
Due to incomplete sections, the initial phase of the route only serves vehicles with under 9 seats, with a maximum speed of 80 km/h. Nevertheless, early operation enhances connectivity between the key Southern economic region and its cluster of seaports, tourism, and coastal industries.
