At the new Mien Dong bus terminal, total passengers are expected to increase by about 27% compared to the same period last year, with the number of trips increasing by 18%, mainly focused on routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang. From 30/8 to 4/9, the terminal will serve nearly 54,000 passengers with approximately 2,700 trips. The peak days are 30/8 and 31/8, with 13,500 to 15,100 passengers each day.
The bus terminal requires transportation companies to declare adjustments and publicly post prices. The maximum 40% ticket increase applies on 29/8 and 30/8 for routes from Da Nang to Dong Nai and the Mekong Delta.

At the old Mien Dong bus terminal (Binh Thanh district), nearly 56,000 passengers and approximately 2,700 trips are expected. Ticket prices are also only allowed to increase by a maximum of 40% on 29/8 and 30/8.
For travel towards the Mekong Delta, the Mien Tay bus terminal expects to serve over 227,000 passengers with 9,600 trips. The peak day, 30/8, is projected to see about 65,500 passengers, a 5% increase compared to last year, and the number of trips is expected to increase by 7%. Due to the short travel distances, passengers often purchase tickets close to the holiday. Ticket prices here will also increase by no more than 40% compared to normal days.
The terminals have prepared plans to redirect buses from less busy routes to busier ones, add more public buses, and coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces to alleviate traffic congestion along the routes.
