Ca Mau province appoints new deputy party secretary

The party central committee has approved Ho Thanh Thuy, head of the Ca Mau provincial party committee's organizing committee, as the new deputy party secretary for the 2020-2025 term.

Nguyen Ho Hai, secretary of the Ca Mau provincial party committee, presented Thuy with the official decision on the afternoon of 18/9.

Thuy, 50, is from Chau Hung town (formerly Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province). He holds a master's degree in party building and has served as secretary of the Hoa Binh district party committee, chairman of the inspection committee of the former Bac Lieu provincial party committee, and head of the organizing committee of the former Bac Lieu provincial party committee.

Following the merger of Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces, Thuy became head of the Ca Mau provincial party committee's organizing committee on 1/7.

Located in the Mekong Delta, Ca Mau province, after merging with Bac Lieu, now covers over 7,900 km2 and has a population of over 2.6 million.
