Around 5 PM, a 4-seater Mercedes was traveling on Do Muoi street, heading from Thu Duc towards An Suong roundabout. Upon reaching the Do Muoi - Vuon Lai intersection, the car suddenly struck several motorbikes traveling in the same direction.

The car dragged one motorbike underneath it, then crashed into an automobile dealership before coming to a stop. At the scene, damaged motorbikes with shattered fairings were strewn across a stretch of approximately 20 m. A middle-aged man died at the scene, while two others sustained minor injuries. Numerous personal belongings, helmets, and footwear were scattered across the road.

Police arrived to document the scene for investigation and to remove the damaged vehicles. The incident caused a traffic jam stretching over 5 km on the main road connecting Thu Duc to the western gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.
