Car crushed in accident on Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway

A 5-seat car was crushed after colliding with a truck on the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, injuring 4 people on the morning of 23/8.

Around 7:30 a.m., a red 5-seat car traveling in the Hanoi - Hai Phong direction crashed into a truck at kilometer marker 77+800. The strong impact severely damaged the car, tearing open the roof and shattering the rear end, scattering debris across the road.

The driver was trapped in the cabin. A woman lay injured on the road. Two children and another woman with less severe injuries managed to escape to the emergency lane.

Authorities and emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after, freeing the driver and transporting the victims to the hospital. Traffic warnings were displayed on the VMS boards at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
