Central party committee congress uses facial recognition for the first time

The first congress of the central party committee for the 2025-2030 term will utilize facial recognition for delegate attendance.

At a press conference on 17/9, Nguyen Dang Tien, deputy head of the standing office of the central party committee, stated that digital technology is being implemented from document preparation to security measures. Each delegate and guest will receive a tablet containing draft documents and research materials, replacing paper copies.

The congress will take place on 23/9 and 24/9 in Hanoi, with 299 delegates and 100 guests. The agenda includes reviewing the 2020-2025 term, defining the direction, goals, and tasks for the 2025-2030 term, and discussing and contributing to the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress.

The congress's theme is "Continuing to strongly renovate thinking and action, elevating strategic advisory work; building a clean, strong, and exemplary party committee; and excellently completing the set goals and tasks," with the motto of Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Exemplarity - Breakthrough - Development.

According to Vu Duc Tu, deputy head of the standing board of the central party committee's commission for propaganda and education, the draft political report presented to the congress comprehensively assesses the results of the past term, identifies limitations, draws lessons, and defines five key tasks and three breakthroughs for the next phase.

The goal is to build a clean, strong, and exemplary party committee, commensurate with the strategic advisory role of party agencies, the state, the supreme court, the office of the president, and press and publishing agencies. The report also sets out requirements for developing a contingent of officials who are resilient, disciplined, exemplary, capable of strategic advising, and adaptable to the digital environment.
