Chain reaction crash involving a container truck and five cars

A container truck caused a chain reaction crash with five cars traveling in the same direction on the Nguyen Van Linh overpass, causing a traffic jam on the afternoon of 5/9.

Around 5:30 PM, a Hanoi-registered container truck traveling on the Nguyen Van Linh overpass, opposite the Big C Long Bien supermarket, rear-ended a car, causing a chain reaction involving four other cars.

A representative of Road Traffic Police Team 5 said there were no injuries. However, the five cars were damaged and blocked the entire road.

Traffic in the area was congested for an extended period. Several drivers reported it took them over an hour to pass the bottleneck. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
