Lieutenant general Le Quang Dao, 54, is from Ninh Binh. He is a 15th National Assembly delegate.

Dao served for an extended period in the Lang Son provincial border guard. Starting in 2001, he held positions such as operations assistant in the operations department, deputy station chief and head of Huu Nghi international border gate station, head of Huu Nghi international border gate border post, and head of Tan Thanh border post.

From 2011 to 2019, he served as deputy chief of staff, chief of staff, deputy commander, and then commander of the Lang Son provincial border guard. In 1/2020, he was appointed deputy chief of staff of the border guard and deputy commander and chief of staff of the border guard.

In 10/2021, he was appointed commander of the Vietnam coast guard. Throughout his career, lieutenant general Le Quang Dao has been awarded the third-class fatherland defense order (2011), the victorious military flag medal, and the first-class glorious soldier medal.
