The train, designated HP15/HP16, consists of 5 to 8 soft-seat carriages, each with a capacity of 64 passengers. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The morning train, HP15, departs Hai Duong station at 6:00 a.m., stops at Thuong Ly station (Hong Bang ward) at 6:55 a.m., and arrives at Hai Phong station at 7:10 a.m.
The afternoon train, HP16, departs Hai Phong station at 5:15 p.m., stops at Thuong Ly station at 5:25 p.m., and arrives at Hai Duong station at 6:20 p.m.

A round-trip ticket costs 55,000 VND. Groups purchasing 4 tickets will only pay for 3. Hai Phong City will provide connecting bus services between the station and workplaces.
Hai Phong station is nearly 50 km from Hai Duong station. Traveling by road on National Highway 5 takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
In early July, Vietnam Railways launched a similar service for civil servants between Dong Hoi (Quang Binh) and Dong Ha (Quang Tri), but it was discontinued due to low ridership.
