A major fire erupted at a cooperative's warehouse on Bach Dang street, Hong Ha ward, around 14h40. The facility, which served as a consignment receiving point, quickly became engulfed in flames due to the substantial volume of goods stored within. Warehouse employees attempted to move packages outside as the fire rapidly spread, but many consignment goods awaiting transport were consumed by the blaze.

Approximately 10 minutes after the fire ignited, three fire trucks and dozens of firefighters from Firefighting and Rescue Team Area 9 arrived at the scene. Authorities deployed water from fire engines and utilized canoes equipped with water pumping equipment from the Red River to combat the blaze from the side of the warehouse.

By 15h40, the fire was suppressed. Two large excavators were then deployed to clear the charred goods from inside the facility. Firefighting operations concluded by 16h30.

The burned warehouse spanned about 800 square meters. Its interior was partitioned into various sections, including a spacious yard for vehicle parking and temporary storage areas constructed with iron frames and corrugated metal roofs. Following the incident, police ordered the demolition of several signs and structures within the warehouse. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
