The Prime Minister officially appointed Nguyen Danh Huy as deputy chairman of the government office on 21/9.

Huy, 52, originally from Quang Tri province, holds a Master of Engineering degree. Before joining state agencies, he spent nearly 10 years in transport construction consulting at Cienco 8.

Beginning in 2005, Huy worked at the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction), serving in various capacities within the Planning and Investment Department, the Public-Private Partnership Project Investment Management Board, and the Public-Private Partnership Department. His primary responsibilities included planning, investment, and resource mobilization for transport infrastructure.

In 8/2022, Huy was appointed deputy minister of transport. Following the merger of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Construction in 3/2025, he continued his role as deputy minister of construction until this new appointment.

The government office serves as a central advisory body, supporting the government and the Prime Minister in organizing and coordinating overall operations. Its responsibilities include reviewing proposals and draft documents prior to submission, and monitoring the implementation of directives and work programs.

Dang Xuan Phong currently serves as the minister and chairman of the government office. With Huy's appointment, the agency now has 6 deputy chairmen: Do Ngoc Huynh, Pham Manh Cuong, Don Tuan Phong, Tran Anh Tien, Nguyen Danh Huy, and Mai Thi Thu Van.
