The nearly 15 km section of ring road 3 passing through the former Thu Duc city is an elevated overpass, expected to open by the end of 2025. It is part of a larger 76 km project being implemented by Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Tay Ninh provinces, scheduled for completion in 2026.
