On 13/3, Nguyen Ha Nam, Director of the Da Nang Department of Construction, announced a temporary ban on dump trucks and trucks exceeding 7,5 tons on most city roads during the election.
The department stated that limiting large trucks on election day ensures traffic safety and facilitates citizen movement to polling stations. Da Nang's urban center, nestled between the Han River and coastal mountains, features narrow streets and numerous river bridges and intersections. A high voter turnout combined with heavy vehicles could cause localized congestion or accidents in densely populated areas.
The regulation does not apply to external routes, including: Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel, Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway, La Son - Tuy Loan expressway, Hai Van Pass, National Highway 1, National Highway 14B (the section from Ho Chi Minh road to Tien Sa port), Nguyen Van Cu road (the section from Ta Quang Buu to Hai Van Pass), and Hoa Cam overpass.

The City Police will coordinate with People's Committees of communes and wards, alongside relevant units, to manage traffic flow, increase on-duty personnel, guide traffic, and address violations. Special attention will be given to polling stations near National Highway 1 and National Highway 14B. The Department of Construction also instructed transport associations, logistics businesses, seaports, and construction project owners to adjust their transport and construction schedules for election day.
The election for delegates to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term will take place nationwide on 15/3. Vietnamese citizens aged 18 or older on election day, and not legally disenfranchised, are eligible to vote. Voters will choose 500 National Assembly delegates from 864 candidates.
