Approved on 14/8, the project covers over 24,600 m2, with 14,206 m2 allocated for the terminal and the rest for loading areas and parking. Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) is investing approximately 631 billion VND (24 million USD) in the project.
The terminal is designed to handle 100,000 tons of cargo per year, a target expected to be reached by 2030. Construction will run from Quarter IV 2025 to Quarter IV 2026, as part of Da Nang Airport's infrastructure upgrade, including expanding Terminal 1 and developing the northern area.
Airport authorities stated the new terminal will not only increase cargo handling capacity but also boost import-export activities, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen Da Nang's economic connections with domestic and international markets.
The project commemorates the 23rd Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee and celebrates National Day on 2/9.
