The Da Nang People's Committee (UBND) launched a logo design contest on 17/9/2025. The goal is to select an official logo to establish the city's brand identity and promote its image both domestically and internationally.
The contest is open to all organizations and individuals, both domestic and international. Each participant or group can submit a maximum of three entries. Submitted logos must be original, unpublished, and not entered in any other competitions. The designs should reflect the identity, sustainable development vision, and central role of Da Nang - Quang Nam as an economic, cultural, tourism, industrial, and innovation hub.
The organizing committee encourages designs incorporating distinctive elements such as natural landscapes, iconic buildings, and the city's dynamic and integrated spirit. The logo should be modern, minimalist, memorable, distinctive, and easily adaptable to various media and sizes. Submissions should be presented on A4 paper with a smaller version, color specifications, a digital file, and a description of up to 300 words.

The contest offers a first prize of 150 million VND and four consolation prizes of 10 million VND each. The first-place winner will refine their design as requested to become the city's official logo, the ownership of which will belong to the Da Nang People's Committee.
In July, the authorities released four potential designs for public feedback, but many felt they fell short of expectations.
Following the merger with Quang Nam, Da Nang is now the largest city in the country, covering nearly 11,860 km2 with a population of over 3 million. It boasts two airports (Da Nang and Chu Lai), three international seaports (Tien Sa, Lien Chieu, and Chu Lai), and popular tourist attractions such as My Khe beach, Son Tra peninsula, Ba Na Hills, and two World Heritage Sites: Hoi An and My Son.
