On 9/1, the Phu Tho provincial Party Committee announced the Politburo's decision regarding personnel matters. Mr. Pham Dai Duong was assigned to serve as Phu Tho provincial Party Secretary, replacing Mr. Truong Quoc Huy.

Mr. Pham Dai Duong, the newly appointed Phu Tho provincial Party Secretary, is 52 years old and hails from Hanoi. He holds a master's degree in science and technology management, a bachelor's degree in chemistry, and a bachelor's degree in finance and banking. He is also a member of the 13th Central Party Committee and a 15th National Assembly delegate.

He has many years of experience in science and technology, having been long associated with the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board, where he served as its head and Party Committee Secretary. From 2015, he was Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, concurrently serving as head of the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board.

In 2018, he was assigned as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Phu Yen provincial People's Committee (former title). He later became Phu Yen provincial Party Secretary and was elected to the 13th Central Party Executive Committee. He also served as a 15th National Assembly delegate and head of the Phu Yen provincial National Assembly delegation.

In 1/2025, the Politburo assigned and appointed Mr. Pham Dai Duong as Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, now Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, before his appointment as Phu Tho provincial Party Secretary.
