Around 10:30 p.m. on 3/8, a blaze broke out at a motorcycle storage facility belonging to a store on Nguyen Tri Phuong street, Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The flames rapidly engulfed numerous vehicles, intensifying quickly.
Nearby residents attempted to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers and water, but their efforts were unsuccessful. As the fire spread, multiple explosions were heard, forcing those attempting to douse the flames to retreat to a safe distance.

"At first, the fire was small, so everyone tried to put it out, but then it flared up with explosions, forcing us to run away," said Mr. Lam, who participated in the firefighting effort.
Upon receiving the report, fire and rescue forces promptly dispatched several specialized vehicles along with officers and soldiers to the scene. The fire was largely brought under control within approximately 15 minutes.
The incident resulted in no casualties; however, dozens of motorcycles were destroyed. Authorities have not yet released information regarding the cause of the fire or the specific extent of the damage.
Nguyen Tri Phuong street in Di An ward is known for hosting many businesses specializing in the buying and selling of used motorcycles.
