Around 12:15 a.m., a fire broke out at a workshop specializing in printing tarpaulins and decals located on Tan Trieu Moi street. The fire quickly spread due to the abundance of flammable materials inside, lighting up the night sky.
During the fire, the workshop emitted thick, acrid smoke accompanied by explosions. The fire then spread to adjacent kiosks containing sanitary equipment, paper, and consumer goods.
The Hanoi Police Command Center dispatched two command vehicles and 9 fire trucks from 5 units: Fire and Rescue Teams 4, 12, 13, 31, and the Fire Fighting and Training Team from the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting, along with 60 officers and firefighters to the scene.

Access to the scene was hampered by approximately 30 cm of flooding on the main road.
Because the workshop was made of a steel frame with corrugated iron roofing, the structure collapsed during the fire. An excavator was used to clear a path for firefighters to access and extinguish the flames.
By around 2:30 a.m., the fire was extinguished, preventing it from spreading to thousands of square meters of neighboring buildings and residences.
