At 7:15 PM, a sao tree planted in front of house number 99 on Pham Hong Thai street in Tam Thang ward was uprooted by strong winds and fell onto the road, hitting a motorbike driven by a woman heading from Le Loi street towards the Gieng Nuoc intersection. The tree's branches then landed on a 7-seater car parked by the roadside.

A woman selling food near the scene said it was raining heavily with strong gusts of wind at the time of the incident. She had just closed a shop door when she heard a loud crash. "My customers and I helped the woman, who was having difficulty breathing and moving, and took her to the hospital. The child riding on the back of the motorbike was unharmed," she said.
