Around 12:00 h, smoke and flames emanated from a two-story house, approximately 50 sqm, located deep within an alley on Thai Phien street in old District 11. The blaze rapidly intensified, spreading fiercely to adjacent homes within minutes.

Quyen, whose house was three residences away from the origin of the fire, described the rapid escalation of the flames. She noted that many individuals attempted to extinguish the fire with extinguishers but were unsuccessful. "When I saw the fire spreading to the first floor, I rushed back inside to collect all the documents from the ground floor before running out", Quyen recounted.

Other households affected by the spreading fire also quickly gathered their belongings and moved their motorbikes to safety.

Over 20 firefighters responded to the scene with multiple fire trucks. Firefighters navigated hoses more than ten meters into the deep alley to combat the blaze. The fire was brought under control after 13:00 h.
