At 9 p.m., fireworks erupted in front of My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi. Tens of thousands of people had gathered on Le Duc Tho Street since 7 p.m. to witness the spectacle. A few minutes prior, a 21-gun salute echoed through the air from the stadium gates.
The capital's weather was dry with a light breeze and a temperature of 27°C.

Hanoi hosted firework displays at six locations. Two locations featured a combination of high and low-altitude fireworks and firecrackers: in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper headquarters and in front of the Hanoi Post Office.
Four other locations—Dua Island in Thong Nhat Park, in front of the National Aquatics Sports Palace at the National Sports Complex, Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, and Van Quan Lake—also featured combined high and low-altitude displays.
The fireworks were launched simultaneously, lasting 15 minutes. A total of 3,600 high-altitude fireworks and 540 low-altitude platforms were used, with a total cost of approximately 13.45 billion VND.
