The Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee confirmed the information on 13/9. Mr. Canh submitted his resignation about two weeks ago.

Previously, two deputy secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee, Tran Quoc Nam, chairman of the Khanh Hoa People's Committee (former chairman of the Ninh Thuan People's Committee), and Pham Van Hau, chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa Province (former chairman of the Ninh Thuan People's Council), also resigned for personal reasons.

Phan Tan Canh, Party secretary of Vinh Hai commune and former vice chairman of the Ninh Thuan People's Committee.

Mr. Canh, 54, is a native of Ninh Thuan and holds a master's degree in construction management. He has held various positions at the Ninh Thuan Department of Construction, and later served as vice chairman of the Ninh Thuan People's Committee and secretary of Ninh Hai district.

After the merger of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces, he was assigned as the Party secretary and chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Hai commune.

The Vinh Hai commune Party Committee currently includes Pham Ngoc Nga (permanent deputy secretary) and Nguyen Van Que (deputy secretary and chairman of the Vinh Hai commune People's Committee).

Bui Toan
