Around 4:30 a.m., a fire broke out in a single-story house in Van Giap village, Thuong Tin commune. Trapped inside were a couple and their two young children. The makeshift dwelling, enclosed by corrugated iron sheeting, prevented their escape.

Authorities dispatched two fire trucks and numerous firefighters to the scene. The fire was extinguished around 5:00 a.m.

The house has been cordoned off for investigation into the cause of the fire.
