Around 9 a.m., Huynh Son was driving his mother in a four-passenger car on Highway 1 towards Tuy An commune. As they reached Chinh Nghia neighborhood in Binh Kien ward (Dak Lak), a truck hit their car from behind, propelling it under the trailer of a tractor-trailer ahead. The rear of the car was crushed.

Following the collision, Mr. Son managed to get his mother and himself out of the damaged vehicle. Both sustained minor injuries. Debris littered the scene, and the car was severely damaged, with more than half of its body mangled.

The accident caused traffic congestion in the area. Traffic police arrived to manage the scene and regulate traffic flow. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
