Fire police in Hanoi successfully rescued four individuals from a mini-supermarket blaze on Lac Long Quan street, Tay Ho ward, on the afternoon of 2/6. The fire, which erupted around 1 PM at house number 447, quickly engulfed the first floor of the three-story building, where the supermarket was located. Abundant flammable materials inside fueled the rapid spread of flames and thick black smoke, prompting some occupants to move to the rooftop, awaiting rescue.
Approximately 10 minutes after the fire started, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 14, Hanoi City Police, deployed two fire trucks and numerous officers to the scene.
Firefighters swiftly brought the blaze under control, extinguishing it within about 30 minutes. Utilizing gas masks, police entered the building and successfully brought the four trapped individuals to safety. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Hanoi is currently experiencing a heatwave, with temperatures soaring to 35-37 degrees Celsius. This elevated heat increases electricity demand and significantly raises the risk of fires and explosions across the city.
