Four vehicles in chain collision, one dead

A truck driver struck three vehicles parked along National Highway 29 before continuing to accelerate and fatally hitting a pedestrian.

On 16/3 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Huynh Nhon, a 39-year-old resident of Quang Phu commune, was driving a truck carrying rubber latex on National Highway 29. The truck was traveling from Pong Drang commune towards Ea Kiet commune.

Upon reaching Pong Drang commune, the truck unexpectedly collided with three vehicles parked on the right side of the road.

Following this initial chain collision, the truck continued its uncontrolled path, striking and killing Le Quoc Khanh, a 21-year-old resident of Cu Pong commune, who was walking ahead.

The incident resulted in damage to four vehicles, with two cars severely crumpled and deformed.

According to local authorities, the accident occurred due to driver Huynh Nhon's failure to observe the road properly.
