Garbage truck fatally strikes sixth-grade student on school grounds

A sixth-grade student at Tay Nguyen Ethnic Boarding School in Thanh Nhat ward (formerly Buon Ma Thuot City) was fatally struck by a garbage truck within the school premises on the morning of 6/9.

Around 6:30 a.m., Vo Anh Sang, 41, a resident of Nam Dong commune (Lam Dong), drove a truck carrying two sanitation workers onto the school grounds for garbage collection.

During the truck's movement, it collided with Tran Minh Thanh, trapping him underneath. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he did not survive.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
