The Ministry of National Defense showcased 334 artifacts, replicas, and restored items, along with military uniforms, equipment, weapons, and vehicles. Visitors could wear VR glasses to "travel back in time" through historical periods: from Van Lang, Au Lac, to the establishment of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence on 2/9/1945, and the nationwide resistance in 1946. The combination of LED screens, models, and actual artifacts created a vivid and interactive experience.
Alongside the historical narrative, the exhibit highlighted victories and campaigns. Visitors could wear glasses to role-play as soldiers driving "windshield-less" trucks on the Truong Son road amidst bombings or crawling through the dark and narrow Cu Chi tunnels.
The "National Achievements: 80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" Exhibition opened on 28/8 at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), covering nearly 260,000 m2, with 230 booths. The exhibition was divided into three main areas: a general exhibition at the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall; an outdoor exhibition at the East, West, South, and North yards; and an international exhibition along with 12 cultural industries at Block A, showcasing achievements from 34 provinces and cities, 28 ministries and sectors, and many businesses.
