General Phan Van Giang receives first-class military exploit order

The first-class military exploit order has been awarded to General Phan Van Giang and leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, recognizing their contributions to building the army and strengthening national defense.

On the afternoon of 31/8, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to award the Military Exploit Order to leaders of the Ministry of National Defense.

The first-class Military Exploit Order was awarded to General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; General Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics; and General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff, Deputy Minister of National Defense. Deputy Ministers, including Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, Hoang Xuan Chien, Le Huy Vinh, Vu Hai San, and Pham Hoai Nam, also received this award.

The second-class Military Exploit Order was awarded to Deputy Ministers: Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, Nguyen Truong Thang, and Nguyen Van Hien.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Phan Van Giang congratulated the honored officials, affirming that this is a noble award from the Party and State, demonstrating trust and recognizing the merits and achievements of individuals as well as the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the entire army.

He emphasized that the officials receiving the order have all grown from practical work, combat, and unit building. They possess strong political mettle, strategic thinking, a high sense of responsibility, and have excellently completed their tasks, making important contributions to building the army and strengthening national defense.

According to the Minister, over the past 80 years, the comprehensive strength, qualifications, and combat readiness of the army have been increasingly enhanced to meet the requirements of national defense in the new situation. This achievement is the result of the efforts and intellect of the entire army, including the key role of the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense.

General Phan Van Giang requested that the awarded officials continue to train, improve their capacity and political qualities, and remain absolutely loyal to the Party, Fatherland, and people; striving for the benefit of the army and the country.
