General Secretary: Awaken the desire to contribute in all strata of society

General Secretary To Lam urged the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to ignite the desire for contribution among all people, both domestically and abroad, for national development.

On the morning of 19/12, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission organized a national conference to review 2025 and outline tasks for 2026. The conference connected online to 35 provincial and city connection points and 3,280 commune, ward, and special zone connection points nationwide, with over 74,800 delegates attending.

Speaking at the conference, General Secretary To Lam assessed that during the 13th National Party Congress term and from early 2025 to date, the work of propaganda and mass mobilization has clearly demonstrated its role of "pioneering the path, accompanying implementation, and summarizing afterwards" and "building trust". This serves as a bridge between the Party and the people, promoting democracy and the strength of great national unity, contributing to national construction and defense.

A clear new feature of propaganda and mass mobilization work over the past year was the harmonious combination of construction and opposition, as well as propaganda and mobilization. The sector proactively built a comprehensive information network, using positive narratives to counter negativity and "greening" cyberspace with official information.

Propaganda efforts for major political and cultural events throughout the year were successfully organized, attracting widespread public interest and international attention. The "digital literacy for the masses" movement was broadly implemented nationwide.

He stated that these results affirm the significant effort and high sense of responsibility of propaganda and mass mobilization officials across the country. These officials are leading figures on the ideological front, active campaigners in information dissemination, sharp debaters in cyberspace, and the "spiritual thread" connecting the Party's will with the people's hearts.

The Party leader emphasized that the country is changing rapidly in all sectors. Breakthrough resolutions from the Politburo, along with the restructuring of the organizational apparatus, have opened up broader and more potent development opportunities, unleashing national resources and becoming a "historical launching pad" for the country to enter a new era. "This is the moment for the entire Party and people to act together for the national interest, for a mighty, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam in the 21st century," General Secretary To Lam said.

Currently, agencies are preparing for the 14th National Party Congress. The requirement for the propaganda and mass mobilization sector is to continue strongly inspiring the aspiration for a powerful national development, accelerating the country's progress.

Therefore, General Secretary To Lam urged the sector to provide effective strategic advice to the Party, maintaining political direction and adhering to the goals of national independence linked with socialism. Crucially, it must firmly protect the Party's ideological foundation. This foundation is the "pillar" of the regime, a "steel shield" for its firm protection and the people, the "soul" of the nation, and a challenging battlefield without gunfire.

Based on the advice from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Politburo agreed to submit two important documents to the 14th Central Committee in 2026: the regulation on political and ideological work within the Party, and the strategy for political and ideological work in the context of digital transformation.

With the motto that "clear ideology leads to resolute action and substantive results," the sector needs to build a team of steadfast cadres and Party members, resilient against all challenges. It must also establish a strong "people's heart" position on the ideological front.

The propaganda and mass mobilization sector must stay close to reality, "understand the pulse" of people's lives and public opinion. Propaganda and mass mobilization officials must "listen with ears, understand with heart, persuade with reason, and guide with compassion." They must ensure that every citizen accessing information feels that the Party and State are always listening, that all policies are directed towards the people, and that everyone benefits, leading to a prosperous and happy life. From this, millions will unite to realize the aspiration for a thriving and happy nation.

Alongside promoting the strength of great national unity, General Secretary To Lam urged the propaganda and mass mobilization sector to inspire positive contributions and the desire to dedicate from all segments of society, both domestically and abroad, for national development. Science and education work needs to "pioneer" in human development, cultural advancement, public enlightenment, and national creative capacity.

The sector needs to focus intensely on advising the Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat to successfully prepare and organize the 14th National Party Congress. This event will bring together the "wisdom, dedication, and will" of the entire Party and nation, illuminating the path for a new development journey. "Propaganda and mass mobilization cadres must possess a pure heart, a clear mind, and a sharp pen, truly serving as loyal soldiers who provide strategic advice on Party building in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, and political-ideological work among the entire population," General Secretary To Lam stated.
