The work "prominent images during the 80th anniversary of national day" by the VnExpress author group received the Dien Hong third prize in 2025.

The fourth national press awards ceremony on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Awards), themed "80 years of Vietnam's National Assembly", took place on the evening of 18/12 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi.

After more than 10 months since its launch, the competition attracted 3,500 entries from 125 press agencies nationwide. 91 works reached the final round, and 64 were awarded prizes in categories: 5 first prizes, 12 second prizes, 22 third prizes, and 25 consolation prizes.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac presented first prizes to authors and author groups from: VietnamPlus E-newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, People's Army Newspaper, Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, and collaborating units such as the Institute for Front Strategy and Policy, the Committee for Culture and Society. Notably, the group of first prize winners also included an author from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (Nghe An).

Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man noted that this year the National Assembly continued to innovate its operating methods, responding swiftly to practical demands and strongly reforming its legislative mindset. He evaluated this year's entries as meticulously invested, creative, and deeply reflective of the activities of elected bodies as the country enters a new era.

Looking ahead to 2026, the National Assembly Chairman expects the press to continue demonstrating its courage, objectively and multidimensionally reflecting all aspects of life. He hopes the press will promptly identify shortcomings in law enforcement, helping elected bodies operate more effectively.

"Specifically, the press needs to spread a new determination and spirit in implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress; serving the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
