Government to distribute 100,000 VND for national day

The government will distribute 100,000 VND to all citizens for National Day through social security accounts on VNeID or directly at local offices.

According to Resolution 263 issued on 29/8/2025, the monetary gift applies to Vietnamese citizens and people of Vietnamese origin who have not yet determined their nationality but have been granted identity cards and reside in Vietnam with a personal identification number in the National Population Database as of 30/8.

The distribution will be based on registered households. Each household's amount will be calculated per person based on national data. The head of the household or an authorized member will receive the total sum and distribute it to other members. For citizens without permanent residence registration, the gift will be given directly to each individual or their authorized representative.

Citizens can receive the funds through their social security accounts integrated on VNeID, or directly at designated local distribution points. The main distribution period is 31/8 and 1/9; in special circumstances, gifts can be received later, but no later than 15/9.

The government has allocated an additional 10,700 billion VND from the 2025 central budget to implement this policy. Localities that do not use all allocated funds must return the surplus to the central government. If there is a shortfall, local budgets or other legal sources can be temporarily used, with a report submitted to the Ministry of Finance for supplementation.

The Ministry of Public Security is tasked with extracting the list of citizens from the National Population Database at midnight on 30/8, detailed down to each province, city, and commune, as the basis for distribution. The ministry will also guide citizens on integrating their social security accounts, opening bank accounts on VNeID, and support localities during the implementation process.
