This brings the number of fatalities in the incident to three.
On the afternoon of 8/1, a leader from Ha Dong ward, Hanoi city, confirmed that the 66-year-old male homeowner passed away at Ha Dong General Hospital.
Earlier, as the house was engulfed in thick smoke and flames, the man jumped from the 6th-floor balcony onto a lower roof, sustaining multiple injuries. Residents and firefighters assisted in bringing him to the ground for emergency hospitalization.
In addition to the homeowner, the fire also claimed the lives of an 89-year-old elderly woman and the homeowner's 27-year-old daughter. The bodies of the two victims were recovered at noon today, after fire and rescue forces brought the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The fire erupted at 8 AM from the 1st floor of house number 84, Le Loi street, Ha Dong ward. Flames then spread to the upper floors of the 6-story house, which includes a rooftop extension and spans approximately 140 square meters on the street front. The building served as both a residence and an electronics business for the family.
According to information from the People's Committee of Ha Dong ward, the family consists of eight members, three of whom are married and live separately. Five individuals typically resided at the house: an elderly woman with paralysis, the homeowner couple, and their two children, a son and a daughter.
