Starting from 1/6, Hanoi police began testing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for patrol and monitoring in Hoan Kiem ward and Tay Ho ward. The UAVs, developed by a domestic enterprise, are equipped with high-resolution cameras, optical sensors, navigation systems, and integrated artificial intelligence (AI).
Recorded data is transmitted directly to the command center of the Administrative Management Police Department for Social Order, the Traffic Police Department, and local ward police.

UAVs fly under ground control. When detecting vehicles stopping or parking illegally, traffic congestion, street vending, or other signs of violations, the devices send images and information to the command center for processing.
The system can automatically display the location and priority level of abnormal situations. Once confirmed, the information is immediately transferred to on-site authorities. Images recorded by UAVs also serve as a basis for inspection and enforcement.
In addition to traffic monitoring, UAVs can also identify encroachments on roadways, sidewalks, illegal waste collection, and other urban order violations. The aerial perspective expands the monitoring range compared to traditional patrol methods.

Hanoi police are currently evaluating the system's violation detection capabilities, while also testing the device's stability in windy conditions and the camera's balance during operation.
According to the plan, the trial will last until 30/8. Hanoi police expect to complete the evaluation report in september to report to the Ministry of Public Security, as a basis for considering the implementation of this solution in practice.
