The remnants of Typhoon Kajiki brought continuous rain throughout the night and into the morning of 26/8, turning many Hanoi streets into rivers and causing widespread flooding and traffic disruption.

Water entered homes on My Dinh street. “For the past 20 years, this area has flooded with almost every heavy rain, two to three times a year on average," one homeowner said. "Besides raising the foundation, there are almost no other solutions. We can only move our belongings to higher ground, wait for the water to recede, and then dry out our appliances."
