The following streets will be completely closed to vehicles (except those with security passes and those serving the celebration): Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue (from Hung Vuong to Van Cao), Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, One Pillar Pagoda, Bac Son, Ton That Dam, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Dieu, Cua Bac, Yen Phu, and Thanh Nien.
The closures also include: Dien Bien Phu, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Le Hong Phong, Ong Ich Khiem, Ngoc Ha, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Chu Van An, Ton Duc Thang, Cat Linh, Trinh Hoai Duc, Hang Chao, Tran Phu, Son Tay, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Nghi Tam, Doi Can, Doc La-Pho, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong (from Le Duan to Quang Trung), Trang Thi, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Co Tan, and Phan Chu Trinh (from Hai Ba Trung to Trang Tien).

Le Thanh Tong, Tong Dan (from Ly Dao Thanh to Trang Tien), Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Quang Trung (from Ly Thuong Kiet to Trang Thi), Ly Thai To, Nguyen Huu Huan, Ngo Quyen (from the State Bank Square to Trang Tien), Giang Vo, Lang Ha, and Lang (from Lang Ha to Tran Duy Hung) will also be closed during this time.
Vehicles will be temporarily banned inside the first ring road, except those with security passes, vehicles serving the celebration, emergency vehicles, official vehicles, buses, garbage trucks, and vehicles handling incidents.
Between the first and second ring roads, trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating of 1.5 tons or more and passenger vehicles with 16 seats or more will be temporarily restricted when the A80 motorcade passes. Normal traffic will resume afterward.
Hanoi police recommend that commercial passenger vehicles with fewer than 16 seats, private cars, and motorcycles limit travel between the second and third ring roads and restrict travel between the first and second ring roads.
Traffic will also be restricted on routes leading out of the city from the third ring road, such as National Highway 32, Cau Dien, Ho Tung Mau, Le Duc Tho, Le Quang Dao, Thang Long Boulevard, Lang Van Hoa Road, National Highway 21A, Ho Chi Minh Road, National Highway 6, Quang Trung, Tran Phu, Nguyen Trai, Provincial Road 419, Provincial Road 429, and Vo Nguyen Giap. Exemptions apply to buses, garbage trucks, incident response vehicles, vehicles with security passes, and vehicles serving the celebration.

Detour routes
During the road closures and restrictions, detours will be in place. Vehicles affected by the temporary ban traveling from National Highway 5, the Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway, and the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway to the Cau Gie-Ninh Binh Expressway should travel via Thanh Tri Bridge - Ring Road 3 Elevated Section - Do Muoi Interchange - Cau Gie-Ninh Binh Expressway.
Vehicles from eastern provinces (Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, etc.) going to northern, western, and northwestern provinces (Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, etc.) should travel via Phu Dong Bridge - Thanh Tri Bridge - Ring Road 3 Elevated Section - Thang Long Bridge - Vo Van Kiet, etc. Alternatively, they can use National Highway 5 - Nguyen Duc Thuan - Thanh Tri Bridge approach road - Phu Dong Bridge - Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway - Hanoi-Thai Nguyen Expressway to reach Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang provinces, and vice versa.
Vehicles from northern provinces (Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, etc.) going to southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, etc.) should use National Highway 2 - Vo Van Kiet - Thang Long Bridge - Ring Road 3 Elevated Section - Do Muoi Interchange - Cau Gie-Ninh Binh Expressway.
Trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating of 10 tons or more traveling on the Ring Road 3 Elevated Section should avoid exiting at interchanges on Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Khuat Duy Tien, and Nguyen Xien streets.
Hanoi police advise people coming to Hanoi from other provinces to attend the celebrations to use passenger vehicles and public transport, especially the elevated railway. They also suggest walking in certain areas of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Cua Nam, Hai Ba Trung, Giang Vo, Ngoc Ha wards, and around Ba Dinh Square.
For the Socio-economic Achievements Exhibition commemorating the 80th National Day in Dong Anh, traffic restrictions will be in place from 6 a.m. to midnight from 28/8 to 5/9.
Specifically, cargo trucks carrying 3,500 kg or more and passenger vehicles with 29 seats or more will be prohibited (except for buses, garbage trucks, incident response vehicles, vehicles with security passes, police and military vehicles, and other priority vehicles). Trucks carrying less than 3,500 kg, passenger vehicles with fewer than 29 seats, private cars, and motorcycles will be restricted on Ly Son, Truong Sa, and Hoang Sa streets.
During this period, vehicles traveling from Hai Phong and Bac Ninh to Phu Tho and Thai Nguyen will be directed via Thanh Tri Bridge - Ring Road 3 - Vo Van Kiet or the Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway - National Highway 18 - Vo Van Kiet, and vice versa.
Vehicles from National Highway 3 to the Xuan Canh intersection and the Bac Thang Long-Vuc De intersection should follow Hoang Sa Street - Vo Van Kiet. Vehicles from Noi Bai Airport should use Vo Nguyen Giap, National Highway 18 to Vo Van Kiet or the Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway.
On 2/9, Vietnam will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (A80) at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi. The parade will involve nearly 16,000 participants in 43 marching blocks, 18 stationary blocks, and 14 blocks of military artillery and special vehicles from the Army and Police, with ground, motorized, air, and naval forces.
