The decision was announced at the opening session of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Congress on 24/9.
The Politburo also reappointed Le Thi Kim Dung, standing deputy secretary of the provincial party committee; Nguyen Van Son, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Phan Huy Ngoc, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and Ma The Hong, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, as deputy secretaries of the provincial party committee for the new term.
The Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term consists of 68 members, including a 22-member standing board. The provincial party committee’s inspection commission has 13 members, headed by Nguyen Hung Vuong.

Hau A Lenh, 52, of H’Mong ethnicity, is from Ta Van, Sa Pa, Lao Cai. He was an alternate member of the Party Central Committee for the 10th and 11th terms and a full member for the 12th and 13th terms. He previously served as an official in General Department 2 (Ministry of National Defense), secretary of the Sa Pa District Youth Union, deputy secretary and chairman of the Sa Pa District People’s Committee, and secretary of the Sa Pa District Party Committee. He later became deputy secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and standing deputy head of the Northwest Steering Committee.
In 2018, he served as vice president and general secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. Three years later, in 4/2021, he became minister and chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs. In early 2025, he was appointed by the Politburo as the party secretary of Ha Giang province. Following the merger of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang, he was assigned to continue as the party secretary of Tuyen Quang province.
The newly expanded Tuyen Quang province covers 13,700 km2 with a population of 1.8 million. It is located in the center of the Northeast region, bordering Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, and Lao Cai. It shares a 270 km border with Yunnan province (China) and includes the Thanh Thuy international border gate.
