Around 6:50 PM, heavy rain began in Da Nang. Within 30 minutes, central streets like Le Duan and Hai Phong were flooded up to half a wheel's height. Hoa, a resident of Thanh Khe ward, was taking her child to extra classes on Ong Ich Khiem Street, about one kilometer from her home, and had to navigate several flooded sections.
"I intended to turn onto Le Duan Street but saw it was flooded. I chose Hai Phong Street instead, but it was also flooded up to half a wheel's height," Hoa said, adding that Ong Ich Khiem Street was also flooded at the intersection with Dong Da Street.

On Dong Da Street, at the intersection with Quang Trung Street, the water level reached approximately 0.4 meters at 7:30 PM. Similarly, Quang Trung Street, from the Da Nang Hospital gate to the Nguyen Thi Minh Khai intersection, was also flooded, causing traffic congestion. Motorbikes were forced onto the sidewalks. Many residents braved the rain to clear blocked drains filled with plastic bags and leaves to help the water recede faster. By 8:00 PM, the water on the streets had subsided, and traffic in the city center gradually returned to normal.
