The 5.9 km project includes the Go Cong interchange on Ring Road 3 and a connecting road to the Hanoi Highway (Station 2 interchange). The project comprises two parallel roads with a total of 6 lanes, passing through three wards: Tang Nhon Phu, Long Binh, and Long Phuoc.
The Go Cong interchange will be a four-level structure incorporating a roundabout. The main components include ramps (N1-N4) with two lanes each. An underpass connecting Hanoi Highway – Long Phuoc – Dong Nai 2 bridge will be constructed in a later phase. On Ring Road 3, an additional four-lane overpass will be built, bringing the total to 8 lanes.
The project also includes the construction of overpasses, a drainage and sewage system, underpasses, sidewalks, landscaping, and lighting.
Compensation and site clearance will take place from the 4th quarter of this year until the end of 2026, with construction beginning in early 2027 and completion expected in the last quarter of 2028.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (UBND), the connector from Hanoi Highway to the Go Cong interchange will serve as a key link, connecting Ring Road 3 with Ring Road 2 and the existing urban transport network. Upon completion, the project will help regulate traffic flow, reduce pressure on nearby routes, enhance transport capacity, and improve connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and the former Binh Duong area.
Ring Road 3, spanning over 90 km, passes through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Tay Ninh. The 15.3 km section in the former Binh Duong province has been completed. The remaining 76 km is under construction with a total investment of 75,400 billion VND. The route is expected to be completed in 2026, enhancing regional connectivity and promoting socio-economic development in the key southern area.
