Vietnam Social Security recently issued guidelines for citizens to integrate their social security benefit accounts on the VNeID application. This integration aims to facilitate the convenient receipt of payments and access to social security services.

To integrate, users first log in to the VNeID application. From the main menu, select "social security", then proceed to "social security benefit account", and enter the 6-digit application password. Next, citizens must choose the bank where their account was opened, accurately fill in their personal information, and provide the bank account number designated for receiving funds. After all details are entered, selecting "send information" will prompt a confirmation message on the screen, indicating that the request has been successfully submitted. The final registration result for the social security benefit account will be communicated via a notification within the VNeID application.

Beyond social security integration, VNeID currently incorporates electronic social insurance books and electronic health insurance cards. These digital documents hold the same legal value as their physical counterparts. These two types of documents for participants are created and stored on the VssID application and are subsequently linked with VNeID. It is important to note that this integration does not apply to armed forces personnel, who are managed by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security.
The information contained within the electronic social insurance book is as comprehensive as that found in the physical book. It serves as a valid basis for resolving claims related to social insurance and unemployment benefits. Similarly, the electronic health insurance card displays essential information, including the holder's full name, the location of initial medical examination and treatment registration, the card's validity period, and the benefit level determined by the beneficiary group. This electronic card is stored on VssID and linked to VNeID, allowing citizens to use it for medical examinations and treatment appointments instead of a physical card.
VNeID is an application developed by the National Data Center for Population C06, Ministry of Public Security. It is built upon robust databases for identity, population, and electronic authentication. The application was created with the primary objective of replacing traditional paper documents once various services and personal identification details are successfully integrated.
