International military personnel visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and national exhibition

Military delegations from Russia, Laos, and Cambodia visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Ministry of National Defense's equipment display at the 80th-anniversary achievement exhibition on 31/8.

This morning, three international military delegations participating in the A80 parade laid wreaths and visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

The honor guard from the 154th Preobrazhensky Regiment, a unit specializing in Russian military ceremonies, was led by Lieutenant Mikhailov Anton Vlandimirovich.

The honor guard laid a wreath and paid their respects to President Ho Chi Minh for about 30 minutes.

The Russian delegation arrived on 20/8 at the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense. They participated in two combined rehearsals, a preliminary review, a dress rehearsal, and will officially march in the parade on 2/9 in Ba Dinh Square.

Next was the Lao People's Army delegation, which arrived in Vietnam on 16/8. The Lao People's Army, established on 20/1/1949, is the main armed force of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. During the war, the Vietnamese and Lao armies fought side-by-side, building a fighting alliance to win national independence for each country. The relationship between the two parties, two states, and two armies continues to strengthen.

Members of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, representing the navy, army, air force, and other specialized forces, visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The 120-member delegation arrived in Vietnam on 15/8.

After visiting the Mausoleum, the international military delegations visited the 80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness exhibition at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Dong Anh commune and toured the Ministry of National Defense's display.

The exhibition area includes indoor and outdoor spaces. The outdoor area, covering nearly 23,600 m2, features the theme "Sword and Shield" and displays various equipment, such as the Scud-B missile complex, the upgraded S-125-VT air defense missile complex, and the Truong Son missile complex produced by Vietnam.

On the second day of the National Day holiday, a large crowd flocked to the exhibition. The presence of foreign military personnel attracted the attention of visitors.

Many people took the opportunity to take souvenir photos with the Russian military delegation. Hanoi experienced intermittent rain and sunshine today, with temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius.

The Lao military delegation's visit to the exhibition was welcomed by the Vietnamese people. Four international military delegations were invited by Vietnam to participate in the A80 parade: Russia, China, Laos, and Cambodia. The international parade contingent consists of 120 Chinese military personnel, 120 Cambodian, 110 Lao, and 33 Russian, in addition to support staff. These delegations will march alongside the Vietnamese army, police, and civilian groups on 2/9 in Ba Dinh Square.
