Around 6 AM on 8/3, a fire broke out in the foam mattress storage area of a warehouse in Bien Hoa ward (formerly Tan Hanh ward). Due to the highly flammable materials inside, the blaze spread to the entire 1,000 square meter workshop in about 30 minutes.

The roof collapsed amid several loud explosions, causing panic among nearby residents, who began moving their belongings outside. "I was sleeping and heard several loud, jarring explosions. When I ran out, I saw the column of smoke rising high," said Mr. Hung, a resident of Bien Hoa ward.

Firefighting forces deployed numerous specialized vehicles and dozens of personnel to the scene to extinguish the blaze. A crane was also mobilized to dismantle some walls, allowing firefighters to access the interior and spray water.

In addition to foam mattresses, the warehouse also contained various general merchandise. Given the extensive area affected by the fire, the blaze remained uncontained as of 8:20 AM.
