At the opening session of the first Da Nang City Party Congress on 17/9, Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Dinh Vinh announced the Politburo's decision to appoint the new term's City Party Committee and Standing Committee.

The Da Nang City Party Committee comprises 75 members, and the Standing Committee has 23 members. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, an alternate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will continue to lead the city's Party Committee. The four deputy secretaries are Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Pham Duc An, Ngo Xuan Thang, and Nguyen Duc Dung.

49-year-old Triet, originally from Nam Phuoc commune, Da Nang City, is an alternate member of the Party Central Committee. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Silicate Technology.

Triet's career includes roles as Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union, President of the Da Nang City Student Association, Secretary of the Lien Chieu District Party Committee, President of the Da Nang City Confederation of Labor, Head of the Da Nang City Party Committee Office, Secretary of the Hai Chau District Party Committee, and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

From January to June 2021, Triet served as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council. From January 2024 to May 2025, he held the position of Quang Nam Provincial Party Secretary. From July 1st, 2025, he was the Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee. In early September, the Politburo appointed him as the Da Nang City Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term.

The first Da Nang City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term takes place from 16/9 to 18/9. The theme is "Building a pure and strong Party and political system; promoting cultural identity, revolutionary traditions, the strength of great unity, and the aspiration for development; building a civilized, modern Da Nang city with a high quality of life, becoming a growth pole of Vietnam, and joining the whole country in entering a new era of national development". The action motto is "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development".

As of 31/8, the Da Nang City Party Committee has 97 party committees directly under the City Party Committee and the Hoang Sa special zone party cell (under the Party Committee of the Department of Home Affairs, City People's Committee), with over 139,500 party members.
