On the evening of 15/9, at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the closing ceremony of the "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" exhibition. He affirmed that after 19 exciting days, the event was a resounding success, far exceeding expectations, becoming a "comprehensive, profound, and holistic picture" of the 80-year journey of fighting for independence, building, and defending the nation.

The exhibition was the largest of its kind to date, covering over 250,900 m2 of exhibition space, with 230 booths and the participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 provinces and cities, and over 110 corporations and state-owned companies. Nearly 180 industries and fields, from economics, politics, culture, and society to national defense, security, and foreign affairs, were showcased using modern technology, digital experiences, and intuitive models.
Over 19 days (28/8 to 15/9), the exhibition welcomed over 10 million visitors, tens of thousands of television viewers, and hundreds of thousands of attendees at art programs and concerts. Hundreds of activities such as seminars, discussions, VR/AR experiences, and documentary screenings took place. The Prime Minister expressed his emotion at seeing the smiles, bright eyes, and tears of joy from the people enjoying the modern and emotionally rich atmosphere of the exhibition.

According to the head of government, the exhibition's success was due to the attention of the Politburo and the Secretariat, the decisive leadership of the government, and the rapid and determined spirit of the ministries, localities, and the business community. He emphasized that the exhibition affirmed the great national unity and demonstrated the spirit of "turning nothing into something, turning difficulty into ease, and turning the impossible into possible."
Besides showcasing the achievements of 80 years, the exhibition also conveyed a message of aspiration for advancement, integration, and sustainable development. "The exhibition has illuminated the spirit of: Unity - Wisdom - Strength - Glory - Pride in being Vietnamese," the head of government affirmed.

At the closing ceremony, the Prime Minister awarded certificates of merit to 36 collectives with outstanding contributions and recognized many exemplary exhibition spaces. The art performance "I Love My Fatherland" with about 20 acts and a brilliant fireworks display concluded the exhibition series.
