The National Assembly office announced the decision in a press release on the afternoon of 15/9. The decision, made during a meeting on 13/9, follows a request from the Supreme People's Procuracy and is in accordance with the law.

On 14/9, 56-year-old Tran Van Thuc, deputy head of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education and former director of the provincial Department of Education and Training, was prosecuted and detained on charges of forgery. Authorities have not yet released details of the alleged misconduct.
Born in Thanh Hoa, Thuc holds a doctoral degree in history and has worked in the education sector for over 30 years. He taught at Vinh University (Nghe An), later serving as vice principal and then principal of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In 12/2020, he was appointed director of the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training.
In 3/2025, he was transferred to the position of deputy head of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education.
