According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department (under the Ministry of Public Security), traffic violations accounted for 10.09% of all vehicles stopped for inspection.
On roads, traffic police issued over 60,000 tickets and revoked the licenses of 198 drivers. The most common violations were illegal parking (over 13,000 cases), speeding (nearly 10,000 cases), not wearing seatbelts (over 4,600 cases), and overloading (3,350 cases).
On waterways, over 6,200 violations were issued, primarily for exceeding the load line (nearly 2,900 cases). Authorities also discovered 23 unauthorized ports and wharves operating during this period.

Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of violations increased by over 14,600 (a 28.3% rise), and fines increased by over 41 billion VND (a 50.36% rise). Compared to the immediately preceding period, violations increased by 21,239 (46.46%), and fines increased by over 31 billion VND (33.8%).
The Traffic Police Department believes the increased enforcement has contributed to a decrease in traffic accidents. From 25/7 to 25/8, there were 1,398 accidents nationwide, resulting in 775 deaths and 933 injuries. Compared to the same period in 2024, this represents a decrease of 437 accidents (23.8%), 130 deaths (14.4%), and 319 injuries (25.5%).
The inspection campaign, from 25/7 to 25/8, was launched in response to loopholes in transport management and ineffective control and violation detection at ports and depots.
