The project will benefit over 730 students at the school.
Located approximately 40 km from the former Dien Bien Dong district center, the school previously consisted of two separate areas for primary and secondary students. The primary school area had 10 semi-permanent classrooms, two temporary classrooms made of wood, and three classrooms with corrugated iron roofs. The three new classrooms have been built within the secondary school area to facilitate management and promote the school's overall development.

Vu The Hiep, Vice Chairman of the Tia Dinh Commune People's Committee (UBND), explained that the area is the most disadvantaged in Dien Bien province, with 100% of its population belonging to ethnic minority groups. "We are deeply touched by this valuable support," Hiep said. "The new classrooms will improve teaching and learning conditions at the school, providing teachers with peace of mind and students with a safe learning environment, thereby enhancing the quality of education in the locality."
The project's total construction cost exceeded one billion dong, with over 900 million dong funded by Hy Vong Foundation and Dong Tay Barbershop. This initiative falls under the "Building New Classrooms - Opening Future Paths" program, a fundraising effort launched in 2024 in collaboration with the MoMo payment app.
