New road traverses Da Lat's greenhouse valley

The Cam Ly - Phuoc Thanh route crosses a high-tech agricultural production zone, connecting the belt road to central Da Lat and alleviating traffic congestion during tourist seasons.

The Cam Ly - Phuoc Thanh route, spanning 8.9 km, links Van Thanh Road (DT725) in Cam Ly ward, Da Lat, with 19 Thang 5 Road in Lang Biang ward, Da Lat. This project, with a total investment of 400 billion VND, commenced construction in August 2023.

The road cuts through a vast greenhouse area in Lang Biang ward, Da Lat. This locality boasts over 10,000 ha of agricultural land, with nearly 2,000 ha utilizing high technology. Production focuses on key crops such as vegetables, flowers, strawberries, and medicinal plants.

This area is also recognized as Lam Dong’s "rose capital," encompassing approximately 720 ha, with an average yield of 1.2 million stems per ha annually.

The project is built to mountain road class III standards, featuring a road surface 6 meters wide. The route runs through specialized agricultural zones and greenhouses in Da Lat.

The road winds along a hillside at its intersection with Ankroet Road (DT722), also known as Mang Lin T-junction. From this point, vehicles can turn right to reach central Da Lat or turn left towards the Dankia - Suoi Vang area, home to attractions like Suoi Vang Lake, Pink Grass Hill, and strawberry gardens.

Approximately 500 meters of the route pass through Da Lat’s characteristic pine forest.

The embankment walls along the road are reinforced with concrete retaining walls, limiting landslides and ensuring safety for all types of vehicles.

The Cam Ly - Phuoc Thanh route concludes at its intersection with 19 Thang 5 Road in Lang Biang ward, Da Lat. After experiencing delays due to land clearance issues, the entire route is now fully open to traffic.

A line of large passenger buses stopped to pick up and drop off tourists at an agritourism site along the route.

The Cam Ly - Phuoc Thanh route connects with the end of Da Lat’s belt road, creating a continuous traffic axis from the city’s west to its north. This project is expected to expand development opportunities, facilitate the transport of agricultural products, flowers, and vegetables, and reduce traffic congestion in the city center during peak tourist seasons.
