The Ministry of Ethnic Minority Affairs and Religion is a government agency responsible for state management of ethnic affairs, beliefs, and religions.
The minister of ethnic minority affairs and religion is Dao Ngoc Dung. The deputy ministers include Nguyen Dinh Khang, Y Vinh Tor, Y Thong, Nguyen Hai Trung, and Nong Thi Ha.

Nguyen Dinh Khang, 59, is from Bac Ninh province. He holds a master's degree in economic management and is a member of the Party Central Committee for the 12th, 13th, and 14th terms.
Before being elected president of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in July 2019, he held various positions in businesses and localities. These included general director of Vietnam National Chemical Group, deputy secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee (now Tuyen Quang), and secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee (now Ninh Binh).
As president of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Nguyen Dinh Khang and the union's leadership team participated in and contributed opinions to the National Wage Council, helping to adjust and increase the regional minimum wage over various periods.
Annually, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor advises on organizing the prime minister's dialogue program with workers. It also promotes dialogue and collective bargaining on wages, working conditions, working hours, and rest periods for workers.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the labor organization supported affected union members, workers, and their children with a total of approximately 6,000 billion VND, benefiting about 10 million people. Several worker care models were implemented, including: Tet sum vay (family reunion at Tet), mai am cong doan (union housing program), phien cho cong nhan (worker market), and Thang cong nhan (Workers' Month).
